Wikipedia is the leading wiki in today's world. It would help with your history homework, or art project. It is always there for you in case information about any specific topic is needed. 



Today getting misinformed about any subject is easier than ever. Wikis are one of the best options to provide you with the quality information. It gives you the right to cheat on your exam, or get to know about an article that you were interested in. Unfortunately, this causes Enclypoedias to be forgotten completely.

If we have to compare Encyclopedias and wikis and find out why people seem to be more comfortable choosing wikis then firstly, they have search engines integrated. Simply, you can just type the specific topic/subject you are searching for. This will save plenty of time as you are immediately directed to the content that you are looking for. Secondly, information can be added, edited, and deleted by anybody. So it is always intended that the information there is up to date. Wikipedia has redactors to identify the reliability of the information.

Wikis are easy and quick way to access the information. Which means with almost no effort you can reach the necessary information in seconds. While, Enclypoedias would consume much of your time and doesn't always give you the information in a way that you wished it to be. In case if you use encyclopedias, it is always recommended to get the ones which are up-to-date.

In conclusion, wikis are the more preferred tools in a way that it is the quickest way in the aspects of accessing the information.
