 Three interesting examples of IT solutions from different decades Week-1 Touch ID It is an electronic fingerprint recognition feature which is created and published by Apple Inc in the late 2013's. It enables users to unlock devices, make purchases and authenticate Apple pay, etc. It first came out after the first release of Iphone 5S. In 2015, Apple introduced a faster second-generation version with a new Iphone 6s. Then in 2016, Apple integrated the Touch Id to the Macbook Pro on the right side of its touch bar. It is also used on Ipads since the Ipad Air 2 which was the first ever Ipad that had Touch Id. Users can create more than one fingerprints and use them at a time. Fingerprint information is stored locally in a secure enclave on the Apple A7 and later chips, not in the cloud, a design choice intended to make it impossible for users or malicious attackers to externally access the fingerprint information.
